“ We stopped here for lunch, based solely on the fact that they have a dog friendly patio and were recommended on “BringFido”. Unfortunately, at noon the patio is 50% in the sun and we had to sit with no shade- but we chose to anyhow as our pup had plenty of shade! They immediately brought out a bowl of water for our boy, and despite having to squeeze around him at times, all the staff were very friendly and engaging with him! The ‘spirit-free’ drinks were AMAZING- especially “Winter Wonderland”, best drink I’ve ever had. Our waiter, Mike, had many suggestions as this was our first time here. We chose to split the Mushroom Marmalade burger. It was to die for! The fries were also super delicious! We will definitely be back! ”
“ We visited The Goblin Market with a party of 7 yesterday after the Mt Dora Christmas Parade. We ordered a Irish Whiskey Onion Soup (14) and a Cashew Chicken Sandwich with fries (19.75) and a Jolly Holiday Sangria (13) to share among two of us. The soup was really tasty and had thinly sliced onion rings on top. The only thing I might change is to have smaller cut onions on top as that would make the easier to eat. The Cashew Chicken Sandwich is a fried chicken sandwich that is so very moist, perfectly crisp on the outside and lightly and perfectly flavored. I don’t love cashews by themselves but the cashew crust on this chicken was really really good. The fries were lightly battered and perfect consistency. The Sangria tasted like Christmas and was really good. It had a red wine blend, cinnamon, orange liquor, cranberry, and holiday spices. Our server was Austin and she was excellent. Our table was as attended as we wanted, she paid attention to details, made us feel welcomed and comfortable. She is one of the best servers we have had that we can remember. For this visit, we had two disabled family members and this restaurant has limited accessibility. My sister uses a wheelchair and while she can take a few steps, it is challenging. My Mom is using a cane or Walker recently. The restaurant has just a few tables on the main level and our table was one step up so it was manageable. As electric scooter would it be able to get into the restaurant at all as there are a couple of tight 90 degree turns to enter. This restaurant is decorated really nicely on a regular basis and during this season their holiday decor overlay was classy and festive. I would most definitely give this restaurant a recommendation to visit and we will be back. Since we went right after the parade we expected to wait to be seated. We waited about an hour which met our expectations. ”
“ I had a hard time finding this place. I think we circled the block twice. That being said once we got in there it is a warm dark atmosphere that offers world class food. Best meal I have had in Mt. Dora and there are some good spots around town. I have a hard time trying new spots and not just returning each time I am back. If you are having a hard time deciding where to eat I will make it easy, it's here go here and if you are thinking of another place you're wrong. ”
“ This restaurant is a must if you are visiting Mount Dora. It is on the "Best of 2025" list and did not disappoint. We lucked out and walked right in at 7:30 pm and were able to score an outside table in the back with the coziest vibe. Our server was outstanding and attentive (sorry I don't remember his name, but he had dark hair and ponytail) and the food was delicious! Recommend the Kokomo cocktail, bread board, petit filet with goat cheese and bacon jam (from bar menu), and the pork chop. The petit filet dish was just the right size for dinner without being overserved extra food. Would 100% return to the Goblin Market in the future! ”
“ Where to start...... so we just bought our first house, and it just so happens to be in beautiful Mt Dora. Also in Mt Dora is such a vibrant historic district that is just up the street. So, as adventurers do, we took a stroll and went right into the Goblin Market. The best first stop to our introductory Mt Dora exploration. As a food driven person, I couldn't have been happier. Britton and Chris were nothing shy of absolutely amazing first and foremost. Second, the art was so captivating. Walking to my seat was like a journey through an art gallery. The atmosphere is just warm and inviting. The dining areas are full of art to discover, which kept the night very interesting. What sealed the deal for me, though, was the thought behind each dish and how composed everything was. Each dish was packed with flavor, balance, and creativity. The deviled eggs rivaled my own in flavor, but the kick of truffle and the addition of fried leaks took deviled eggs to another level for me. The octopus was super tender, packed with flavor, and expertly balanced. Picked green tomatoes, candied jalapeno, and a wonderful smokey-ness all complimented each other so well. The escargot and carpaccio are again well executed and delicious. However, the stars of the night (besides Britton and Chris) are the Honey Lavender Duck Breast equal to the market scallops. Both entrees were.... for lack of a better word..... Effffffing Goooood! The duck breast was cooked beautifully, and the glaze was the best part. Not too lavender forward and not too sweet. The fondant potatoes that came with it had a great sear on the outside and almost mashed potatoe-ee on the inside. (Best fondant potatoes I ever had) Last but not least those, crafted by god, scallops. Just look at the sear on them. Cooked to the perfect temp, very tender and flavorful. There was no miss for me here. Even the drinks hit. Everything was made in-house from the dill vinegarette to the cocktails, and you can taste it. Amazing first stop and introduction to Mt Dora. It made me even more excited to see what else is around here. Thanks for all the conversation and for entertaining all my questions. You guys are awesome. FYI, make sure you ask about all the art. The stories around them are intriguing. Expecially the hand drawn art on the second floor. What a story for real. No spoilers here, so go check it out for yourself. ”
“ My husband and I went to the Goblin market and when I read the menu I wasn't sure I would like the food, but it was delicious. I had the Yorkshire pudding with beef tips for the first time and it was actually seasoned perfectly. Appreciate the salt! Too many restaurants are serving bland food nowadays. The decor is awesome. It's like having dinner in your rich friend's library. ”
“ The Goblin Market is hands-down the BEST restaurant in Mount Dora, FL! I came in for lunch and started with the artichoke hearts—absolutely delicious, and that spicy mustard it comes with? So good, I could eat it by the spoonful. The deviled eggs were out of this world, especially with the white truffle Parmesan—OMGGG, just incredible. For my main, I had the salmon salad, and it was so fresh and flavorful—perfectly satisfying without being too heavy. I’ve also been here for dinner before, and let me tell you, it’s just as amazing! The fresh catch served with mashed chickpeas is next-level delicious. To top it all off, the bartenders here really know their craft. Every cocktail is perfectly balanced and made with care. The atmosphere is charming, cozy, and full of character. A true gem—Goblin Market never disappoints! ”
“ I was looking for a cute place for a Wedding Anniversary lunch with my husband, enter Goblin Market. My husband and I love Mount Dora and always wanted to go here, but it seemed more upscale than what we frequent. So, we decided to give it a visit during their less-formal lunch hours. It was one of those days in the 30-40s so we arrived in jeans and thick jackets. But I still felt a bit underdressed because the atmosphere in this place exudes dressy attire. At least the last level upstairs near the bar did. :) I was shocked that there were so many levels to this place. I didn't expect steep stairs and a few platforms, of tables settled throughout. But, if this was a house previously, it makes sense. That being said, they have a few tables on the lower levels and upper levels to try to accommodate all mobility types. The restroom in the upper level was a tight, awkward squeeze but I was glad it was available upstairs. The food was wonderful, though. I ordered a blackened hamburger special with carrots and bell pepper on top, which magically worked well together. The meat itself was not overcooked and the portions were large. The French fries were battered and crunchy! So good! The French dipped sandwich my husband ordered had a bit smaller portion size with some drier bread, but you know - you get to dip it in sauce so it wasn't an issue. I'd definitely come back, although the price for two meals and two waters at lunch was just under 50. So, it's a bit expensive. But the quality is there, I understand. ”
